SECTOR LEAD - COMMUNICATIONS AND EVENTS 

Are you a communications all-rounder with a strategic approach, an eye for design, and a passion for community organisations and social advocacy? Are you looking for meaningful, energising work where you can apply your diverse skillset to make a difference in communities across Queensland? Then we’d love to hear from you as we seek to grow our collaborative, values-driven staff team.

 

QFCA is the peak body for Queensland neighbourhood and community centres (NCCs). A member-based, non-profit organisation, QFCA work alongside over 140 NCCs throughout Queensland. We offer training and development opportunities,

participatory research projects, networking, sector advocacy, resources and professional support. We also work closely with government on social policy, budget submissions, stakeholder linkages and real-time community data.

In the 21/22 financial year QFCA is rebranding, launching our new website and working closely with the sector and government stakeholders on strategic advocacy and policy development. We’re looking for someone who is excited to apply their communication skills and passion to help shape QLD’s peak body for Neighbourhood and Community Centres and better resource our sector. The job is listed at level 5 SCHADS, and salary sacrificing is available.

  2. Two sample social media posts with images. The first should be designed to encourage Neighbourhood Centres to complete QFCA’s Annual Sector Survey. The second should highlight an innovative project undertaken by a Neighbourhood Centre.
